Villeroy & Boch Porcelain Tiles

14th November 2014

By Kathryn Collins

Floors of Stone introduced the Villeroy & Boch Porcelain tiles for customers looking for a more consistent and contemporary look to natural stone but one that still exudes quality.

This is exactly what the Villeroy & Boch range achieves, its natural colour palette compliments a wide range of environments and the subtle textures make it stand out over ordinary porcelain tiles.

Products such as the Tribute White porcelain tile mimics that of the well renowned Bianco Carrara Marble but at a fraction of the price. It still has the prestige of the real deal and is a popular choice in bathrooms available in 600×300 and 600×600 formats.

Rhiannon, a kitchen designer from our sister company deVOL has recently undertaken a self-build project that is nearing completion. There were two bathrooms that she was considering tiling in natural stone or porcelain and after some deliberation plumped for the Johannesburg Beige Porcelain and the Super White Matt Porcelain.

One bathroom has now been completed and we sent our photographer round to capture the results.

The Johannesburg Beige Porcelain has the look and feel of an exceptional quality tile similar to our Tumbled Sahara Limestone. The subtle texture creates a realistic effect which feels great underfoot and the clean cut edge gives it a modern look.

Rhiannon, who by profession obviously has great taste, has teamed the Johannesburg Beige porcelain in 600×300 format with a crisp white, luxurious bathroom suite and white walls. We absolutely love the results and Rhiannon has confirmed it’s her favourite room in the house.

The skylight above the bath ensures the room is flooded with natural light and installing the tiles in the brick formation ensures the floor becomes a feature of the room.

The tiles continue inside the shower enclosure and we think they look great.

We have shown these photos to lots of customers who have either visited our Cotes Mill showroom or requested them via email and the response has been great. Seeing them installed really does help you get an idea of how you project can look once completed.

We can’t wait to see and share photographs of the second bathroom and hope the Super White Matt porcelain tiles look just as impressive.
