With summer in full swing, now is the perfect time to start working on the outside of the home with a lot of customers (including myself) embarking on patio projects. The light, summer evenings bring the perfect opportunity for hosting plenty of BBQs for family and friends but ensuring you have the perfect space to do so is crucial! A lot of customers are now opting to go for that ‘inside-outside’ look by choosing the same tile to use throughout, which I have to say, does provide a very neat and seamless finish.
Our Dijon Tumbled Limestone has been used throughout this customers kitchen and also on their new patio area.
So, I thought I would make your decisions a little easier by putting together an updated list of all of our tiles that are suitable for external use:
Light Jerusalem Tumbled Limestone (30mm only)
Cotes Blend Pavers (External only)
Dove Grey Tumbled Limestone (30mm only)
Our Cotes Blend Pavers laid here at our showroom in Leicestershire.
When selecting an external tile, there are certain important factors which should be considered, such as, the texture of the tile as the smoother the tile, the more likely it is to become slippery when wet so going for a tile with a lot of surface texture is recommended.
I thought I would also give you all a little sneak peek of our brand new 2cm Porcelain tiles which we will be introducing very soon. These thicker Porcelain tiles will be available in a range of different colours and have a lovely texture to them making them well suited for outdoor use. Keep your eyes peeled across our social media pages for more information over the next few weeks!
