{"id":1817,"date":"2016-04-22T09:27:22","date_gmt":"2016-04-22T08:27:22","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.floorsofstone.com\/blog\/?p=1817"},"modified":"2017-01-16T11:25:04","modified_gmt":"2017-01-16T11:25:04","slug":"my-first-week-at-cotes-mill","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.floorsofstone.com\/blog\/my-first-week-at-cotes-mill\/","title":{"rendered":"My First Week at Cotes Mill"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>It\u2019s been just over a week and although the butterfly feelings are just starting to fade, the excitement isn&#8217;t!<\/p>\n<p>My name is Charlie and I have just joined the lovely Floors of Stone team based at our Cotes Mill showroom in Loughborough.\u00a0 It hasn&#8217;t been long at all since I started, but I already feel like I&#8217;m settling into the Cotes Mill life!<\/p>\n<p>The building itself is very inspiring, when I get a free moment I love going into the cellar and having a good rummage through the antiques to see what I can find! deVOL\u2019s kitchens look great in the showroom and it&#8217;s really nice to see them being complemented by the various different gifts dotted around the place. Working here really brings out your creative side, it lets your imagination run wild (not too wild of course because we do have very important work to be getting on with!)<\/p>\n<p><div class=\"sharer\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.floorsofstone.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/04\/Floors_of_Stone_Showroom.jpg\"><ul id=\"socialshare\"><!--<li class=\"fb\"><a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/dialog\/share?app_id=688330137993706&display=popup&href=https:\/\/www.floorsofstone.com\/blog\/my-first-week-at-cotes-mill\/?img=https:\/\/www.floorsofstone.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/04\/Floors_of_Stone_Showroom.jpg\"><\/a><\/li><li class=\"tw\"><a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/intent\/tweet?url=https:\/\/www.floorsofstone.com\/blog\/my-first-week-at-cotes-mill\/&text=My First Week at Cotes Mill\"><\/a><li>--><li class=\"pt\"><a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.pinterest.com\/pin\/create\/button?&url=https:\/\/www.floorsofstone.com\/blog\/my-first-week-at-cotes-mill\/&media=https:\/\/www.floorsofstone.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/04\/Floors_of_Stone_Showroom.jpg\"><\/a><li><\/ul><\/div><\/p>\n<p>This is the amazing Floors of Stone showroom that I now get to work in!<\/p>\n<p>Before I started working at Cotes Mill I didn&#8217;t quite realise how much was going on here, from some really cool new products (like the vast array of\u00a0interior design books and our new parquet flooring displays), to Hannah\u2019s amazing handmade ceramic tiles (some of which have just been fitted in deVOL&#8217;s Air Kitchen upstairs), meeting and chatting to our customers, discussing new projects and ideas, to the ever increasing wildlife around the Mill! It\u2019s all very exciting and I feel like &#8216;bored&#8217; will no longer be a word in my vocabulary.<\/p>\n<p>I started last Monday, which was a great week to start as Jane, the lovely Cotes Mill Chef started cooking lunches for us all. It was awesome\u00a0being able to try all of her amazing food. She has been cooking up a storm in the beautiful deVOL Air kitchen, which is on the mezzanine above the Floors of Stone showroom, just up the spiral, limestone staircase.
