It had been a run-down, dark little cottage when the owners got hold of it, but with the help of local developers Brown and Jones, they have transformed it into a beautiful family home. The subtle variation in tones and texture in the stone work perfectly with the dark blue kitchen, simple white walls and warm wooden furniture. I love the customer\u2019s effortless, minimal styling. Although it has grey undertones, it has hues of rich russet, umber, amber and olive, and the free-length layout and hand-distressed edges give it a really rustic, traditional feel.
