Rough Black Limestone

6th February 2014

By Sophie Mitchell

Recently I have noticed an increase in demand for the Rough Black Limestone. More people have been enquiring about it, and I’ve sent out countless quotes and samples!

Due to the increase in demand, I contacted one of my lovely customers, to ask for some pictures, so that I can show future customers what the tiles look like over a larger area. Although our free sample service is invaluable, I think it’s always nice to see larger tiles or displays in our showroom, or pictures of the tiles laid over a larger area, to really get a feel for the stone.

I had been speaking to the customer for a few months, as she tried to choose between the Rough Black Limestone, Worn Grey Limestone and Brazilian Black Slate for her kitchen floor. Eventually she opted for the Rough Black Limestone – the dark, black colour of the slate tiles combined with the natural texture and variation of the Worn Grey Limestone tiles.

The pictures she sent across were beautiful. The limestone tiles had been teamed with an ivory grout, giving a great contrast, and saving the floor from looking too dark and overwhelming. The gentle green and cream tones of the kitchen are balanced by the dark worktops and natural stone floor. It’s also an excellent demonstration of the opus pattern, which gives more variation and interest to the floor.

And the pink lilies…well they’re just fabulous burst of colour!
