A beautiful bathroom

One of the most popular types of stone we sell is the Noce Tumbled Travertine.

With an array of rich brown and beige tones the Noce is a stone that offers warmth and character.

We recently had a photoshoot at our colleague Martha’s house, who has laid the Noce 305×305 in her bathroom.

Picking the right sized tile is something that can be tricky but if done correctly can add so much to a room. The smaller sized 305×305 tile works so well in Martha’s bathroom, it utilises the space and even gives the illusion that the bathroom is bigger than it is. If she had gone for anything larger I think it would have made the room seem smaller, even cluttered.

The floor has been laid using our Limestone coloured grout which was also slurried across the surface of the tile to bring out the tumbling and also help reduce daily maintenance of the tiles.

Having a lighter grout colour has ensured that the floor is not too dark and helps to reflect the natural light which sometimes can be limited in bathrooms.

Because larger grout lines have been used it has added character to the stone and tied in with the rustic tumbling on the surface and edges of the tiles.

The bold red walls when combined with the brilliant white fittings and the earth tones of the floor all come together to form a really striking bathroom.
