Floors of Stone in the media

Here at Floors of Stone we are really excited to have yet another great article in the media.

Again our managing director Kathryn Collins has been featured in a magazine, this time the Tile and Stone Journal.

Kathryn is the person in the know when it comes to spotting trends within the world of stone flooring, hand picking the stones she feels will prove to make a stir within home design and although I am biased she tends to be impeccable in her predictions!

A recent addition to our expansive stone collection is the Jaipur Brushed Limestone, Kathryn was spot on as this has become a huge seller for us. We think the popularity is due to the incredibly low price, the beautiful earth tones and the impressive classic flagstone finish.

Our most recent natural stone is the dramatic Neranjo Limestone. This stone is one to look out for as we have already seen a great interest building up, especially from architects and designers.

The reason Kathryn chose this particular stone is due to the fantastic amount of detailing that has gone into the finish. It has been sand blasted which gives it a real rich, vibrant and grainy base tone. Further to this the aged appearance is developed through a brushed finish on the surface and a hand distressed edge. Golden tones with sandy veins give a rich Middle Eastern appearance to this stone making it a really unique addition to any home design project.
