Happy New Year!

5th January 2016

By Sophie Mitchell

We would like to wish all of our customers a very Happy New Year! And hope you all had a lovely, relaxing break over the festive period. Now back to the reality of work and a stop to the constant stream of mince pies and chocolate!

2015 was a great year for us here at Floors of Stone. Our Cotes Mill Showroom has been constantly evolving and our internal displays as well as our landscaping and external displays are now completely finished – although we are still constantly making changes and improvements, as well as adding new products to our range.

We’re already looking forward to 2016, and have lots of exciting projects and products on the horizon. One of which being the Bianco Carrara C Honed Marble, which we introduced in December (we just couldn’t wait!) We really love this marble and hope it’s going to be a fantastic addition to our range.

Customers love the Bianco Carrara in the polished finish, but were concerned that a polished surface wasn’t very practical. The honed version combines the natural beauty of the white marble, starkly contrasted against the grey veining throughout, with a more practical matt finish. Perfect for a bathroom or luxury kitchen.

We also have another new limestone, which we will be introducing shortly. We have named this Dove Grey Tumbled Limestone (the name was inspired by the doves here at our Cotes Mill showroom). We have already installed a display in our showroom, and it will be added to our website shortly. It’s a gorgeous grey coloured stone, with gently tumbled edges, which we’re sure our customers are going to love.

Last but not least, a project we are extremely excited about is our new range of handmade tiles. Hannah (a member of our sales team – you may have spoken to her on the phone!) has been busy in our new ceramics studio, experimenting with different types of clay and glazes to produce a range of tiles that are completely unique. She has been inspired by our beautiful surroundings, and has picked a variety of meadow flowers and grasses to press into the clay, as well as using various antique printing blocks and Victorian laces to create exquisite, intricate patterns. We’re still experimenting at the moment, but are hoping to introduce them during the early part of 2016.

As always, our knowledgeable staff are available over the phone, in the showroom or if you prefer via the enquiries email address if you do have any questions about our new or existing products.
