NEW PORCELAIN TILES

18th January 2018

By Molly Cherry

As well as all of our beautiful natural stone flooring, we also have an expanding range of porcelain tiles that are becoming increasingly popular. We often find that customers worry about the practicality of choosing a natural product, as it doesn’t always suit everybody’s lifestyles. Over the last few months, we have sourced some new porcelain tiles and I thought now would be the perfect time to share our three new additions with you.

POLVERE IVORY PORCELAIN

The perfect alternative to a natural stone, our Polvere Ivory Porcelain has beautiful pale ivory to soft grey tones throughout which recreate the look of a traditional French limestone. The edges of the tiles have been carefully distressed to add to the illusion of a limestone tile and the subtle details and speckles which run throughout the tile help to further the impression of a natural stone as opposed to porcelain. These tiles are suitable for external use as well and they are also compatible with underfloor heating systems to provide extra warmth underfoot. You have the choice of two sizes in this product – either the opus pattern, which is made up of smaller and larger rectangles and squares or a large-format tile of 1000x500x10mm for those big open plan spaces.

BASALT PORCELAIN

Another recent addition to our porcelain range is our Basalt Porcelain. This tile has been designed to mimic the appearance of the dark, graphite tones of Basalt. There are both vein and quartz details which feature throughout the tile and ranges from black to dark grey in colour. They also have a very subtle shimmer in the background which provides that little extra detail and glam to the floor! These tiles can be used both internally and externally and again are compatible with underfloor heating systems. We stock these tiles in either a 600×300 or 600×600 tile so they would work in either a small or large space.

BASALT GREY PORCELAIN

A lighter version of our Basalt Porcelain, the Basalt Grey features light silvery grey tones which have plenty of interest, that you would expect to see in a natural stone, from the replica vein and quartz details which run throughout. The lighter background of the Basalt Grey also features darker grey speckles and a subtle sparkle that catches in the light. These tiles can, again, be used internally and externally and are also suitable with underfloor heating systems. They are also available in either a 600×300 or 600×600 tile dependant on what would work best for you.

Our range of porcelain tiles are a great alternative to natural stone. Porcelain is extremely hard wearing and offers a practical solution with minimal upkeep. These tiles offer a contemporary, sleek look, and are both very consistent and extremely durable. If you would like to see a sample of any of these tiles you can request them here.
