Possibilities with pattern

6th December 2022

Recently we have introduced our Zingaro tiles, offering another elegant tile choice within our porcelain collection. The style of our Zingaro tiles have been inspired by Zellige tiles which are traditionally Moroccan and handcrafted using clay. Whilst our Zingaro tiles each have their own irregularity in colour, texture and tone similar to authentic Zellige tiles, they are made from porcelain meaning they are a more hard-wearing option and allow you to enjoy the look of a handmade tile without the exclusive price tag. Unlike other similar tiles, our Zingaro tiles are also suitable to be used as flooring as well as walls, providing you with the opportunity to transform just about any surface you desire. Our Zingaro tiles are available in a soft off-white or a beautiful deep blue, meaning these tiles could compliment the most muted interiors to something a little bolder.

Zingaro Azure Porcelain – Available in a 150x150x10 size or 150x50x10 size. £85.00/m2.

Zingaro Natural Porcelain – Available in a 150x150x10 size or 150x50x10 size. £85.00/m2.

Changing tile trends means that many designers are now looking for ways to move away from laying metro style tiles in a traditional brick laying pattern and instead are finding ways to lay them vertically, stacked horizontally or to create interesting tile configurations using a mix of different sized tiles. We like to think that offering a choice of tile sizes within our Zingaro range, will provide the opportunity for you to create a bespoke feature in your home, with a varied choice of laying patterns to choose from. Since the Zingaro tiles have arrived in our showroom at Cotes Mill, we have thoroughly enjoyed experimenting with the different possible laying patterns. I have included some pictures of some of our most favoured laying patterns below, which I hope may be able to provide you with some inspiration for your own spaces at home.

Here at Floors of Stone, we believe our Zingaro tiles also embrace the current desire to add texture to our homes. Texture allows us to create a sense of comfort and add interest to our living spaces. The subtle, uneven surface, deep glazing and irregularities in tone, means each tile has its own unique look and when laid alongside each other, has the ability to create a wonderful tactile and characterful feature in your home, especially when the sunlight dances across them.
